SharePoint Administrator

Job Description:

This position will assist in the specification, design, construction, testing and support of an existing enterprise server farm as well as responsible for upgrades and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain MOSS Shared Service Provider and Service Applications for SharePoint 2010 farm
  • Script and document deployment/install of web parts and features within MOSS and SharePoint 2010 environments
  • Create system documentation and standard operating procedures for administration within MOSS and SharePoint 2010 frameworks
  • Provide tier 3 technical support to site administrators when administration issues arise
  • As needed, coordinate “feature” and “solution” deployment and testing with SharePoint Engineer, SharePoint Architect
  • Assist development and technical teams with portal environments and architecture

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of system architecture experience
  • 3+ years of database administration
  • 2+ years of network administration
  • 1+ years of experience managing MOSS and SharePoint 2010 in a highly virtualized environment
  • Expert-level knowledge of application design and coding techniques, as well as a thorough understanding of installation, testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects
  • Experience administering and managing applications
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communications, particularly with a customer focus

Education/Clearance Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT related field preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (MUST be a US Citizen). Those who possess an active Security Clearance are preferred.
